Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
„Harry Potter i więzień Azkabanu” (ang. „Harry Potter
and the Prisoner of Azkaban”) jest to już trzecia z
kolei część powieści autorstwa Joanne Kathleen Rowling o
przygodach młodego czarodzieja Harrego Pottera oraz jego
przyjaciół. Poprzednimi częściami są „Harry Potter i
Kamień Filozoficzny” (ang. „Harry Potter and the
Philosopher's Stone”) oraz „Harry Potter i Komnata
Tajemnic”(ang. „Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets”).
Pierwszy raz “Harry Potter i więzień Azkabanu” został
wydany w Wielkiej Brytanii 8 lipca 1999 roku. W Polce ta
powieść fantasy pojawiła się dopiero półtora roku
później – 31 stycznia 2001 roku. Trzeci tom liczy 464
strony, dostępny jest w twardej oraz miękkiej oprawie.
Ta część powieści zaczyna się od ucieczki Harrego od
Dursleyów przy pomocy Błędnego Rycerza. Następnie
czarodziej dowiaduje się, że więzień czarodziejów,
morderca i prawdopodobnie sługa Voldermorta, znany jako
więzień z Azkabanu, zbiegł z więzieni, w którym
przebywał. Harry poznaje również kolejny ważny fakt
związany bezpośrednio ze swoim życiem. Otóż dowiaduje
się, iż Syriusz może być bezpośrednio odpowiedzialny za
śmierć rodziców czarodzieja. Jednak nasz młody bohater
nie byłby sobą, gdyby nie chciał sprawdzić wiarygodności
tej informacji. Odkrywa wraz ze swoimi przyjaciółmi, że
to nie jest do końca prawda, a następnie pomaga
Syriuszowi w ucieczce. Niestety jednocześnie w tym samym
czasie zbiega prawdziwy złoczyńca. Nowymi postaciami w
tym tomie są: Barty Crouch, Barty Crouch Jr., Fleur
Delacour, Gabrielle Delacour, Wiktor Krum, Cedrik
Diggory, Szalonooki Moody, Igor Karkarow oraz Amos
Diggory. Oto wszystkie rozdziały w powieści wraz z

tytule. Kolejna, czwarta już część przygód młodego
czarodzieja będzie nosiła tytuł Harry Potter i Czara
Ognia (ang. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire).

"Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban" is the next part of adventures of a young wizard - Harry Potter series. It is exactly the third novel that has been written of course by Joanne "Jo" Rowling. This novel made by British writer was published in 1999. The book has won both the 1999 Costa Book Awards and also the Bram Stoker Award. The film "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban" was made by basing it on a Joanne Rowling's book of course. It was released at the end of May in the United Kingdom and next month it was also availble to watch in the cinemas in the United States of America and many more countries in the whole wild world. If we take first three books in Harry Potter series, we will see that "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban" has taken the least time to be written. The writing of this books has taken only a year to Joanne "Jo" Rowling. The following book is called "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire".
